The Saturday Toss-off Post

Please forgive me for being boring today. I didn’t sleep well again. I think a werewolf has moved in across the hall - at least it howls like one between 5 and 7 every morning, and as a result, I’m feeling a bit scattered.

I did a couple of daily draws - one pulling cards randomly and the other dealing off the top of the deck. They both seem like possibilities, so I’m thinking the method on its own doesn’t really matter - though I do want to talk about the importance of method and setting intentions in a reading, but I’ll save that for another post. Still, we can look at some combinations.

The random draw:

Scythe + Ship + Bear

I very much want (Ship) to hear from an older friend overseas (Ship + Bear), but I don’t think it’s going to happen (Scythe + Ship). Simple enough. The only other things of interest I can think of is that I was talking to a friend in Spain over the computer, and the connection was acting up - Scythe does relate to computers and in this case coming before the Ship - cutting off long-distance communications. And WordPress keeps refusing to save my edits in this post, so there it goes again!

Is Scythe + Ship + Bear indicative of lottery disappointments? It could be, because when the Bear talks about money (money being a form of power, and power being a key concept of the Bear), it’s talking about either large institutions (banks, stock markets, and the like), or large sums. Hmm…

Off the top of the deck:

Fish + Whips + Ring

My friend in Spain and I were indeed having a pretty lively conversation about financial things (Fish + Whips), but I don’t see any contract discussion (Whips + Ring) happening today. Still, since dailies aren’t as intense as full readings, and since they can take a few days to manifest, this one’s a possibility too.

As an aside, I’ve spoken to two friends in Spain today (Whips often indicate 2 of something). Trivial, maybe, but I thought I’d add it in.

Take your pick, and I hope you find the combinations useful. Setting intention does matter in a reading, and we’ll talk about that soon.
